Please note: HiveNet is currently available as a testnet. All granted rewards are given as test coins. You will only be able to earn a revenue in HiveCoins once HiveNet's mainnet has launched. You can find details on HiveNet's milestones and the planned mainnet launch date in our roadmap.

Quick Guide

  • 4 GB-RAM

  • about 2 GB hard disk space

    (see manual for details)

Step 1:

Download the HiveNet installer, which fits to your operating system

Step 2:

Run the installer file.

The installer will guide you through the setup process.

Step 3:

Choose components for installation.

You need to install both the HiveNet Client and Docker (unless you already have the most recent Docker version installed).

Step 4:

Run the installed HiveNet Client.

Step 5:

When starting the computing process for the first time, you will be directed to the settings section to enter the path of your Docker installation, which is required for the computing process to run (don’t forget to press "Save" after entering the path!).

These are the default Docker paths:

  • Windows 10:       C:\Program Files\Docker\Docker\resources\bin\Docker.exe

  • Windows 7/8.1:  C:\Program Files\Docker Toolbox\docker-start.cmd

  • macOS:               /Applications/Docker.app/Contents/Resources/bin/docker
